A family run pub dating from the 15th Century - Now Under New Ownership

Whiddon Down  is the gateway to Dartmoor, in fact we are the closest public house to  Dartmoor National park . We serve Fine westcountry ales ( Tribute and Dartmoor)  and ciders ( Thatchers and Addlestones )      

We pride ourselves in serving local produce when ever possible.    

Good homemade traditional and  world dishes served daily from 12pm until 10 pm  ( Winter hours may change )

Open every day from 11am until 11pm.      

Well behaved dogs are welcome in our bar area , drinking water and treats are given to those who are good .

We now have Bed & Breakfast rooms.

A family room en suite,   A kings size en suite    And a kings size with adjacent toilet. All rooms are central heated with tea and coffee making facilities and digital flat screen t.vs with DVD players.
