A family run pub dating from the 15th Century 

Whiddon Down  is the gateway to Dartmoor, in fact we are the closest public house to  Dartmoor National park . 

We serve Fine westcountry ales ( Jail Ale and Dartmoor IPA ) and ciders ( Sams of Winkleigh )      

We pride ourselves in serving local produce when ever possible.
